Editor's Note: Soul Issue


Many often mistaken strength with apathy. We tend to believe that the expression of the soul is unbearable in a world where nonchalance is looked on as the new ‘cool’. When we are burdened by the harsh realities of life, a mask is put on. A cap is screwed tightly on the bottle that holds our true essence. We are too caught up with the outside world, that we neglect our inner spirit. Sure, a few drinks with your friends, or hours at the gym will provide some relief. But no purest solace can be sought more other than on the inside, the soul.

 April has been a zestful month of chuckles and chortles, so let May be the month to unbend you. With big examinations, piling workloads and hectic summer preparations taking place, this month is ought to bring some distress. That is why the SPARKS’ team has decided to put together an issue that will feed your soul. So sit back, unwind, take off that mask and take time to reflect upon and understand yourself. Consistent workout can guarantee a healthy body, the same way consistent studying can guarantee a smart brain; but no amount of those two combined can guarantee a healthy, - and happy - soul.
